Hip Hop in Bogotá's Central Cemetery

During today's bike tour we met these kids in the Central Cemetery, who gave us a free hip hop show about respect and non-violence.

The boys live in the rough Santa Fe neighborhood behind the cementery, and hopefully they'll find opportunity in art or other positive areas, rather than getting caught up in crime, as happens to so many young men from the Santa Fe neighborhood.

Thanks Mauricio. It's always neat, isn't it, when you find something special in a surprising place.

Perhaps I should have also included that one of the kids tried to pull a 5,000 peso bill out of my pocket. Hope that's not a sign of their future activities.

Best, Mike
